Before today, Jolyne thought that having to go to jail for a crime she didn't commit was the worst thing that could ever happen to her. Then she met Gwess, and she soon realized there are a hell of a lot worse things than jail.
When Jolyne arrived at her cell, Gwess got up from her bed and started staring intensely at Jolyne. She was studying her body from head to toe, complimenting Jolyne on certain features she found especially "delectable." She even began to drool a bit. Jolyne found this to be a bit odd, but she simply shrugged it off and thanked Gwess. Her reaction would have been very different had she known at all about Gwess's true intentions.
Once she was sure that there was absolutely no one else in sight, Gwess made her move. She quickly summoned her Stand, shrunk Jolyne down to the size of a mouse, scooped her up, and tossed her into her mouth.
Inside Gwess's mouth, Jolyne lost precious life-changing seconds as she tried to make sense of what was happening to her. Before she could make any type of move, Gwess sealed Jolyne's fate, swallowing her whole in one strong gulp. It didn't take long for Jolyne to reach Gwess's stomach.
It was in the pits of her cellmate's belly that Jolyne finally registered what had just transpired, and how much danger she was in. That's when she began the fight of her life, desperate to escape Gwess's stomach. For the next twenty minutes, she whaled on the walls of her abdominal prison. From Jolyne's perspective, she felt as though she was making a ton of headway and that Gwess would soon give in to her internal beating and cough her up.
