When Veronica was asked if she wanted to attend a 'summoning', she said sure. And why wouldn't she? She had finally found a group of friends that liked her for who she was, and they were inviting her to a special ceremony.
Did she know anything about it? No.
Did she think anything would come of it? Hell no.
Yet now, moments from being dragged into the maw of the creature they had summoned, Veronica felt like a fool.
She could only imagine what was happening to her two friends in the creature's depths... digestion? She could hear the churning sounds coming from massive gut, and the wailing of her companions were getting less and less frequent.
Whatever fate the demon's belly had in store for her, Veronica would meet it soon.
