Emily sighed as she heard the announcement come over the radio: someone had decided to have a meal of another shopper.
This wasn't anything new, as there were several of these incidents every day. It usually turned out to be two women arguing over a certain item, the argument ending with the winner sporting a new gut and the loser inside said gut.
She had even seen her own mother walking out of the store one time, purchases in hand and one or two women digesting in her belly. The conversations when she got home were always interesting.
Yet, as she turned toward the aisle where the incident had occurred, she was amazed to see what could possibly be the biggest belly she had ever seen coming out of the aisle and resting on a squeaking cart. The woman this behemoth of a gut was attached to paid Emily no mind as she passed.
Still, she had to get the aisle cleared before the next lot of hungry shoppers came through.
