Karlach and Lae'zel decided to make clearing out the goblin camp a bit of a competition. Karlach, with her large muscles and larger appetite, bet that she would be able to eat more goblins than Lae'zel. Lae'zel, being the proud Githyanki warrior that she was, never backed down from a challenge and eagerly agreed to the eating contest.
By the end of the battle, the goblin camp had been cleared out and both Lae'zel and Karlach had gorged themselves on as many goblins as they could get their hands on. It looked as though neither one knew who had eaten more and Shadowheart, who was watching the display of gluttony in disgust, refused to determine a winner of this strange contest.
